0/8mm Red Granite Fire Chip is impossible to replicate so is extremely sort-after and the first choice for many sports ground contractors, landscape architects and local authorities. It is a natural product which is quarried in Scotland and railed to our depot in West Drayton.
Many historic Scottish properties and Golf courses select 0/8mm Red Granite Fire Chip to complete outdoor areas. When compacted 0/8mm Red Granite Fire Chip weighs 2 tonnes per cubic metre. The minimum recommended depth for vehicle traffic is 75mm, therefore 1 tonne will cover 7 square metres. For walkways and pathways a 50mm depth is sufficient meaning one tonne will cover 10 square metres.
